Dr. Jean L. Harris Scholarships for College-Going Seniors

The Eden Prairie Community Foundation awards the annual Dr. Jean L. Harris Scholarships, which were expanded in 2022 thanks to a generous bequest from Basil and Mary Jane Wissner. These four renewable scholarships are named in honor of Dr. Jean Harris, the mayor of Eden Prairie from 1996 to 2001.
Scholarship Criteria
Two high school graduating seniors who reside in and/or attend school in Eden Prairie and who plan to pursue post-secondary education at a four-year college or university will each receive $1,000 per year for four years. Two high school graduating seniors who reside in and/or attend school in Eden Prairie and who plan to pursue post-secondary education at a community or technical college, or trade school, will each receive $900 per year for two years.
