You might call the Foundation’s annual EP Gives event a party with a big purpose.
The socializing, appetizers, drinks, dessert, and dance band make it a great night out. But EP Gives — brought to you this year by title sponsor Starkey Hearing Technologies — is also impactful, as proceeds help fund the Foundation’s many initiatives and programs, including the grant program that has provided more than 500 grants to 84 different local organizations over the years.
In fact, the spring EP Gives and the fall Prairie Brewfest – the Foundation’s two big events – raise more than 60 percent of the revenues that fund this organization’s work.
So, if you attend the EP Gives event we’re holding 6-11:30 p.m. Saturday, April 29, at Oak Ridge Hotel & Conference Center in Chaska, you’re not only having a good time but making a difference.
Oak Ridge represents a change in venue as we try to attract more people to EP Gives. We’ve combined that venue change with a very good dance band and food prepared by award-winning Chef Virgil Emmert. Beyond that, Oak Ridge has great ambiance – there’s even an outdoor patio we can spill onto if the weather allows.
Our EP Gives chair, Mary Mackmiller, recently offered some good reasons for you to attend, and they were published in Eden Prairie Lifestyle magazine. You can read Mary’s take here:
Tickets to EP Gives are the same price as before: $100 each, $65 of which is tax-deductible. You can buy tickets in advance from Foundation Board members, at Eden Prairie Kowalski’s Market, or on this website.
EP Gives is a great night out for you and your friends, and you’ll be giving back to Eden Prairie. Don’t just take it from us, but from Gay Ludvig, who regularly attends. Gay had this to say about the event:
“Attending the ‘Eden Prairie Gives Gala’ the past several years has enabled my husband and me to support a worthwhile cause, giving money to local organizations, at the same time as going with our neighbors to eat, drink and dance! When the dance band caters to the music we enjoy, it’s a very fun evening! The causes are all worthwhile, and supporting our favorites feels good, especially knowing that together we’re making our town a better place.”
So, plan to spend the evening of April 29 with us. You’ll have fun and make an impact.
