The Eden Prairie Community Foundation is pleased to announce it was recognized this month for its transparency with a 2018 Gold Seal on its GuideStar nonprofit profile.
GuideStar is the world’s largest source of information on nonprofit organizations. More than 8 million visitors per year and a network of 200-plus partners use GuideStar data to grow support for nonprofits.
In order to get the 2018 Gold Seal, the Foundation shared important information with the public using its profile on www.guidestar.org. Now, community members and potential donors can find in-depth information about the Foundation’s goals, strategies, capabilities, and progress.
This is addition to detailed financial information about the Foundation that can be found on this website, including information from its most recent audit by the firm of Casey Menden Faust & Nelson. (The Foundation’s bylaws require that it be audited every year.)
The Foundation has been filling unmet needs and promoting philanthropy in Eden Prairie since 1981. Located in the Eden Prairie City Center, it is governed by a 15-member volunteer board of directors and led by a full-time executive director.
Among the Foundation’s current goals are increasing its impact and ensuring its sustainability.
