2019 EP Gives: More fun and close to home

It’s not the EP Gives event to which you are accustomed. After last year’s spring fundraiser, you told us to bring it back to Eden Prairie and inject it with more fun. Message received!

The 2019 EP Gives that will be held 6-10:30 p.m. Saturday, April 27, is at Bearpath Golf & Country Club in Eden Prairie – check out the seasonal photo provided above – and this year’s event will have a “Caribbean Nights” theme. Think about a menu featuring island spices, mango salsa, and much more.

It’s our first sit-down dinner in some time, and we’ve kept the ticket price at $100 per person, $65 of which is tax-deductible. We’ll have open seating except for those who purchase an eight-person table for $1,000.

Our entertainment will include tropical pop and rock music provided by BoRiddley – check out the Facebook page of musicians Scott Bolin and Mike Riddle.

Tropical attire is admired, but not required. Tropical shirts or blouses will do. So will casual suits of lighter weight and color. Or, simply dress business casual – it’s all good! The main thing is to have fun.

Helping set the mood will be emcee Steve Cwodzinski, our state senator and former Eden Prairie High School government teacher. Steve will share how your support has resulted in a long list of 2019 Foundation grants filling Eden Prairie needs, and he and auctioneer Jim Fahey will coordinate the live auction and special appeal that will allow the Foundation’s programs to continue.

The beneficiary of this year’s special appeal is the Eden Prairie TreeHouse program that’s just getting underway and serving 13- to 18-year-old Eden Prairie youth who are hurting. It’s a chance to help launch another great local program, as we did last year in raising more than $26,000 for Onward Eden Prairie.

So, make plans to attend 2019 EP Gives on April 27. You can purchase tickets on this website, or from any of our board members. Many fine sponsorships remain, including exclusives that provide free tickets. (You can see our sponsors here, as they join us.)

For more information about 2019 EP Gives, contact Event Chair Mary Mackmiller at (952) 294-0526 or Foundation Executive Director Mark Weber at either (952) 949-8499 or [email protected].

Thanks in advance for your support. When you attend or sponsor EP Gives, you are helping neighbors in need.
