Eden Prairie’s largest volunteer fair – the annual GIVE Gathering – will be held 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 23, in the lower level of the Eden Prairie City Center, 8080 Mitchell Road.
If you live or work in Eden Prairie and are looking for the perfect local volunteer opportunity, this is the event for you. The free open house features about three dozen local nonprofits that are looking for youth and/or adults to help them serve Eden Prairie better.
Each organization will have a representative sharing more about their volunteer opportunities. And, the event program will detail what types of volunteer opportunities are available. Want to go home and think about it afterward? That’s fine. Take a copy of the program, which also will have information about how to contact these nonprofits at any time.
The GIVE Gathering – GIVE stands for Gather to Inspire Volunteer Engagement – has been held each year since 2017. It’s a collaborative effort put on by the City of Eden Prairie, the Eden Prairie Community Foundation, and Eden Prairie Schools Community Education in order to spark more “giving back.”
Attendees also participate in a group service project and can enter to win prizes donated by some of Eden Prairie’s best restaurants and local businesses.
More detail is coming soon on the Community Education website. In the meantime, feel free to download last year’s program.
