Volunteer leadership of the Eden Prairie Community Foundation changes on July 1 with the recent election of Tina Palmer as chair of the board directors and with the addition of three new board members: Mary Jayne Crocker, Janet Eian, and Tori Hill.
Tina Palmer, MA, CFRE, has worked in the nonprofit sector for more than 20 years with significant leadership experience in fundraising, marketing, communications, management, and board governance.
She is the senior philanthropy officer for M Health Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina. Previously, she has worked in leadership positions at Avivo, Catholic Charities, Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota, Volunteers of America, and Scholarship America.
Tina and her family have enjoyed living in Eden Prairie since 1998. She is actively involved with the Association of Fundraising Professionals and Let’s Go Fishing of Eden Prairie, and provides regular speaking engagements and consulting on behalf of nonprofit organizations throughout the metro area.
Tina succeeds PG Narayanan, who serves as board chair the past two years. He continues to serve on the board as past chair.
Other newly elected board officers are: Carlos Berger, vice chair; Tom Wargolet, treasurer, and Jay Lotthammer, secretary. Board officers are elected at the start of each fiscal year.
New board member Mary Jayne Crocker is executive vice president and chief operating officer at Bridgewater Bank, and is one of the bank’s original team members. She was formerly Bridgewater’s senior vice president in charge of communications. She was named among the Top Women in Finance by the Finance & Commerce news organization and served on the community council at Pax Christi Catholic Community in Eden Prairie.
Janet Eian is a former owner and director of Sylvan Learning and Technology Centers who in addition to serving on the Eden Prairie School Board has been a part of several local nonprofit boards, including for Onward Eden Prairie and Southdale YMCA. She has also served as president of the Eden Prairie A.M. Rotary Club.
Tori Hill has served on boards or advisory councils for a variety of organizations, including Foundation for Eden Prairie Schools, Eden Prairie Schools Community Education, Minnesota C.O.P.E. Project, Pilgrim Baptist Church, and the Ripley Memorial Foundation. She has a consumer products sales and marketing background.
Board members serve three-year terms and are eligible for a second, three-year term.
