All in all, it’s been a pretty rough year.
But we’re getting through this pandemic together, Eden Prairie, and we’ll be stronger coming out the other side.
If you’re in the “almost there” kind of celebratory mood, have a pint or two at an Eden Prairie Community Foundation fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18, at Fat Pants Brewing Co., 8335 Crystal View Road in Eden Prairie.
On that day, Fat Pants is donating to the Foundation $1 for every pint of beer sold and every take-out ordered as a way of supporting EPCF’s efforts to help residents who are facing hardship, homelessness, food insecurity, violence or abuse, and more.
If you’ll be at Fat Pants a while on Oct. 18, look for us at the Foundation information table and say hello – in a safe and distanced way, of course.
This is also a chance for you to support a local brewery, especially since this year’s Prairie Brewfest – the Foundation craft-beer festival usually held in September – was canceled due to COVID-19. Brewers including Fat Pants have been instrumental in the success of Prairie Brewfest, which has been raising money for the Foundation’s work since 2014.
If you’re not around on Oct. 18, please consider a donation to EPCF through the Foundation website. Any amount is appreciated and will support the Foundation’s programs and operation.
Thank you, Eden Prairie!
