There’s a ton of talent in Eden Prairie, and the Foundation is looking to tap it.
We’re currently looking for a number of volunteers in specific areas, including people who will advance our Strategic Plan, which calls for us to address hardship in a bigger way, be a “hub” in the community, and unite Eden Prairie on diversity and inclusion.
To get more specific, we need volunteers who can:
- Help us build a technology platform that connects more than 80 nonprofits and civic organizations serving Eden Prairie. This hub will be continually updated by these groups so that the platform becomes a valuable source of services and other information. Right now, the Foundation is working off a large Excel spreadsheet and needs to move to a more accessible technology platform. Can you help envision and create one?
- Explore and identify initiatives in areas including affordable housing and unemployment/underemployment. These are areas where the Foundation would like to make a bigger impact. But, more volunteers are needed to identify exactly how to do that in Eden Prairie.
Of course, we have other strategic-planning teams, committees, and a board of directors that all utilize volunteers who can move the Foundation forward. Some of them meet weekly or every other week; others meet just a few times a year. We’d love to show you how to share your talents in a way that makes Eden Prairie better!
