The 2021 GIVE Gathering has passed, but recruiting volunteers is a year-round endeavor for many Eden Prairie nonprofits, including the Eden Prairie Community Foundation.
If you are still looking for a close-to-home volunteer opportunity, then check out the list of organizations and volunteer opportunities that we handed out at the Sept. 30 event at Central Middle School. You can download it here:
Many of these volunteer opportunities remain, and so we encourage you to pursue one (or more!) that resonates with you.
At the Foundation, we have an ongoing need for what we call “brain power” – people whose background and expertise on a particular subject can help us move forward. Some of the volunteer opportunities we currently have are:
- Volunteer “ambassadors” who, on an ongoing basis, reach out to a half-dozen or so other nonprofits serving Eden Prairie and act as a connector between the Foundation and those organizations.
- Committee members who have expertise in fundraising, marketing, finance, events, diversity and inclusion, or strategic planning.
- And, people who are passionate about solving chronic problems, especially affordable housing and unemployment.
Each of these volunteer roles takes about 1-2 hours per week of your time.
If any of these opportunities interest you, please contact Foundation Executive Director Mark Weber for more information. E-mail [email protected] or call (952) 949-8499.
