April 2025 Newsletter

Foundation News: April 2025

Greetings from the Eden Prairie Community Foundation! We’ve just finished compiling our 2024 annual report and couldn’t be more excited to share it with you today. In other exciting news, we also have a new logo that we can’t wait to show off. Read more about our annual report, new logo, and other updates below.

2024: Our Biggest Year to Date for Granting

Each year we support the Eden Prairie community through our direct Impact Grants, Community Agency funds and scholarships. 2024 has been our biggest granting year to date, and we couldn’t have done it without your generosity. In 2024, we:

  • Distributed $200,000+ to the community in the form of grants, scholarships, and other sources of funding.
  • Awarded 34 Impact Grants and scholarships.
  • Had a direct impact on at least 9,000 residents who benefited from EPCF grants (based on cumulative estimates provided by grant applicants).

Our Impact Grants fund important programs that address housing instability, domestic violence, hunger, arts & culture, youth enrichment, and so much more. Because we support such a wide range of groups, chances are that every EP resident has felt the effects of our programs, whether they realize it or not!

A new logo for EPCF

A New Logo for EPCF

We also have a fresh new logo that we’re thrilled to share with you today. Community, growth, and collaboration are at the heart of everything we do here at EPCF, so it’s important that our logo exemplifies that mission. With our new design, we’re giving a nod to the original logo while making it easier to read and adding brighter colors that reflect the vibrancy of our community.

We have been working with two EP High School seniors, Isha Shah and Melody Li, who are part of the DECA business club. They pitched some new logo ideas, and together we worked to come up with a new design and color palette.

Board Member Mary BattistaMeet the Board: Mary Battista

Mary recently retired as a sole proprietor for her business, Prairie Health Companion, where she served as a national board-certified health and wellness coach. She also has served on the EPCF board of directors for the past six years as a member of the Executive Committee and chair of the Grants Committee.

Mary enjoys collaborating with nonprofits, volunteers, and residents working tirelessly to meet the needs of all who live and work in Eden Prairie, striving to make it a better place for all.

May says there are so many things she appreciates about living in Eden Prairie, but the amazing parks and trail systems stand out the most. “I take daily walks and bike rides around gorgeous lakes, nature preserves, marshes, and parks that make me feel so grateful to live here.”
