The Eden Prairie Community Foundation is a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the U. S. Internal Revenue Code. We file Form 990 annually with the Internal Revenue Service. Our fiscal year is July 1-June 30.

The Foundation works hard to be transparent and accountable.
The Eden Prairie Community Foundation has a legal and ethical obligation to its donors, partners, and the general public to be transparent and accountable in all that it does. This is especially true in the area of finances.
So, you should know that we:
- Comply with all legally required reporting procedures, including filing the IRS Form 990 and annual reports with the Office of the Minnesota Attorney General.
- Annually complete a professional audit of our finances, as required by our bylaws, and that audit is approved by the Foundation’s executive director, Finance Committee, and Board of Directors.
- Have earned GuideStar’s Gold Seal of Transparency.
These documents also help tell the Foundation’s story by outlining how revenues are obtained and how the Foundation spends your donations.
